Justin Herrera’s cinematography is a creative blend drawn from his tastes in art, cinema, fashion, and social media. His approach reflects a simple formula: plan, test, and discover. Thorough planning and testing before the shoot creates the space for discovery on set.
In the narrative world, Justin’s work on Davis Cameron Chu’s and Meezahn Senbetta’s short film, HJ, has been recognized by several festivals, including the Cleveland International Film Festival, and was awarded Best Cinematography in the Midwest Film Festival. Justin also collaborated with London-based production company Park Village and director David Moench on Growing Change, a mini-documentary series sponsored by EAT Forum. Additionally, his work in the commercial world has been trusted by leading brands, including Brooks Running, Kitt Medical, and Salty Dagger.
Justin aims to foster a safe, down-to-earth, and inclusive atmosphere on set. He seeks out projects with casts and crews that are diverse and open-minded.
Based in NorCal and available internationally, Justin is also open to working as a color grader on select projects.
